Why this petition matters
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise is in the planning phase of the Coastal Connector. This proposed roadway would run from the existing Suncoast Parkway and extend through Citrus and Marion County to terminate at 301/441 via 326 or 329.
The roadway would run right through the heart of Ocala’s horse country, a 3-billion- dollar industry which provides almost 27k jobs. The proposed routes also threaten a variety of natural resources, vital conservation lands,agricultural areas, a historic landmark, and our citizen’s homes! Please join us in fighting the Coastal Connector, and just say “NO”!
We need to ban together and oppose this extension altogether!
